Angelina Jolie and Brad Pit land 'en France'

Hollywood's royal couple, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and their brood have landed safely (via private jet) at the Nice airport in France.

Eonline reports that the couple and their four kids (plus two nannies and three security guards) are staying at Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's Villa Maryland on Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. They've already stayed at the estate for a week in summer 2006 when Angie was pregnant with Shiloh.

Angelina has two films ("Kung Fu Panda," "Changeling") at the Cannes Film Festival this year, and the couple are reportedly finalizing the purchase of their new French digs.

Porn charges follow hunt for Jolie nudes

A MAN'S quest for pictures of actress Angelina Jolie in the nude has left him facing jail for child pornography offences.

John Martin Cheney is awaiting sentencing in the District Court for possessing 179 illegal images.
Lawyer Stephen Ey today said his client's downfall came in June 2007, when he searched the internet for "adult, legal porn". "He was depressed, he had been drinking too much, he'd had an operation on his genitals and he had too much time on his hands," he said.

"He was looking for Angelina Jolie... these pop-up (advertisements) occurred and he accessed them out of curiousity."
Cheney, 43, of South Plympton, originally faced seven charges – five were dropped in a plea bargain with prosecutors. He admitted one count of possession, and one count of aggravated possession of child pornography. Today, Mr Ey said his client had co-operated with police, written letters of apology and expressed his remorse to a psychologist.

"He told the doctor 'I'm very sorry about what I've done, I've caused a great deal of stress and embarrassment'," he said.
"He said 'I feel for children who are victims of sexual abuse and exploitation'." Ian Press, prosecuting, said he would not oppose Cheney's jail term being suspended.

However, he doubted the sincerity of his remorse.
"Psychological reports show he is still, to some degree, in denial as to the harm this type of offending does," he said. "In one breath he appears to accept he has problem, in another he will try to justify or minimise his culpability." Mr Ey said he could explain the seeming contradiction. "My client is not a rocket scientist," he said. "His ability to express himself, on occasion, might account for the swings in his coming to grips with his offence."

"You have to conclude it will be a very good thing both for the viewers and for Jolie's career," the source added.

Heidi Montag Gets Political With Angelina Jolie, John McCain

By Lynda Johnson
Apr 2, 2008

Like Angelina Jolie, MTV "The Hills" star Heidi Montag is bucking the Hollywood trends of supporting liberal politicians. After a recent trip to Iraq, made when she was several months pregnant, Angelina returned to pen a column for "The Washington Post" that said she supported the troops and their mission and she wanted the to be allowed to finish their job.

That means that she is the exact opposite of Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Both of them have promised a quick withdrawal of US troops if they are elected in November and they are willing to leave the refugees from the region to fend for themselves. That won't sit well with Jolie.

John McCain has promised to allow the generals to keep the troops at work and in the region as long as they feel they need to win the war and get the job completed and that sounds a whole lot like Angelina Jolie. It should be noted that her non-husband Brad Pitt is a huge Barack Obama supporter. Now Jolie is getting a little support from Heidi Montag.

According to Us Weekly magazine, the woman that was dubbed a "feminist hero" by the McCain hating New York Times is a Republican and is throwing her cleavage, uh support, behind the Arizona senator. "I'm voting for John McCain," she tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now. "I'm a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience," she explains.

And shockingly, Heidi gets it. Many Hollywood types believe we actually care what they think on politics but she is under no such illusion. "I don't think anyone cares who Heidi Montag votes for," she tells the weekly entertainment magazine.
